The Green Light Beam Expander 532nm is a lens component that can change the diameter and divergence angle of the laser beam. It usually includes an input negative lens and an output positive lens, both of which are virtual confocal structures. The beam expander can be used alone or in combination, and up to five beam expanders can be combined. Its design principle is based on the Galileo telescope. By changing the beam diameter and divergence angle, the laser beam can be collimated (parallel) for use in applications such as laser processing and laser ranging. The use of a beam expander in conjunction with a spatial filter can transform the asymmetric beam distribution into a symmetrical distribution and make the light energy distribution more uniform.
The Green Light Beam Expander 532nm is characterized by the use of fused silica substrate, which has high design and processing accuracy. All systems have wavefront distortion less than 1/10 wavelength and no internal focusing. Equipped with precise beam magnification, the optical image quality reaches the diffraction limit, and the single-sided transmittance of the lens is greater than 99.8%. The damage threshold of the 532nm laser is as high as 50W ps.
It should be noted that when using a 532nm beam expander, factors such as its operating wavelength, beam quality, lens material, and optical coating need to be considered to ensure its stability and reliability in practical applications.
